i am indebted to ryan, one of my lovely readers who occasionally comments as well, for posting this video. i just finished how to be idle by tom hodgkinson this morning, lying in bed and feeling slightly guilty about not keeping the slave driver pace i have had myself on the few weeks since leaving my job (up at 6-7, yoga 4-6 times a week, constant projects and no downtime except in the evening) and was very much soothed by this video, which proves that those who are in an office are just goofing off also.
where is this office? if this is what i did all day, i think i'd be just fine working for someone else...
I imagine the boss had phoned in sick that morning!

either that or the boss is the one behind the camera...?

I believe that is the office for "Connected Ventures", a company that runs both the Vimeo website along with a number of others. Apparently you are allowed to have fun at work, if said fun promotes business.
Also - I think the boss is most likely the guy in the SILF shirt. The expressions on his face are priceless!

i think you are right. i had not realized it was them. strangely, i think i know the guy who made this- he went to high school with my brother, although we have not been in touch for years...bizarre how that works.

I almost regret (but only for a very short moment) working from home, alone. Wouldn't it be nice to actually have fun at work, with colleagues? Sigh...

i understand. i often have little fantasies about a work office that works like this one, or that is like the fun looking ones in romantic comedies where the people work. but then i realize i have to follow their schedule. and i worked for someone else for part of this spring in an office, and while i did love my colleagues, i did have to remember, once again, that i am just not built for it... still, i understand the sigh. i sigh with you.
