just like the mommy duck coaxes the little babies out of the nest, so has there been a similar dive here at remabulous. this afternoon i co-hosted my first podcast with my friend, milda harris. ian came up with the idea that we should try a podcast, and has been kind enough to offer to produce it. here are all the juicy details....
(video: david attenborough for bbc)
the podcast is going to be an extension of literature life, the new book blog i am working on. milda has been working with trained killers on a funny little bit called, milda's book review. check her out on you tube here. milda has been a big motivator for me. it was through her that i found out about national novel month the day before it started. i think we were a good influence on each other: through e-mails and meeting, we both managed to win. milda wrote a crazy harlequin romance that involved a wedding in vegas conducted by elvis. amazing.
so we decided we couldn't just talk about books and writing with each other, we needed the whole wide internet to hear us. (although we were too scared to listen to the recording after we finished. ian insisted on playing it back to us and we both shrieked. we're only just starting after all, and this is not npr)
the podcast will be up this week with a link on literature life. we plan to feature book chat, interviews, lists each show and reviews of both books and film adaptations of books. look as well for the inside scoop on writers and book events. and please do write us and tell us what you want to hear about. we will have a survey up in the next two weeks about reading and reader's habits as well.
we want to hear from people who read. there aren't many of them in l.a.- so we need you to talk to us. write me and tell me what you'd like to hear about on a weekly 20-30 minute podcast about books, reading, literature, and writing. we love hearing from you.
and remember to keep checking out literature life. there's a whole party going on over there- you wouldn't want to miss it...
YEAH! Congrats on your Podcast...where can i go to hear it?

thank you- we're excited, too. it will be linked to probably off both this site and the literaturelife.com site as well. i am just in the process of uploading and setting up hosting and links. we are planning on taping sunday afternoons and having them up hopefully mondays. maybe when we get really good they might go up sunday nights, but it is so tempting to go to a movie right afterwards...
thanks for your support!
