Not doing anything this Labor Day Weekend?

Beach_3

This Labor Day Weekend - you can write a novel...while you lay on the beach!

No plans for Labor Day weekend? Well...maybe you should write a novel!!!!

There is a contest held every Labor Day weekend called the 3 Day Novel Contest, where you write a novel in the 3 days over Labor Day weekend. Yes, this is a contest even more intensive than Nanowrimo! And, if you win, you could get your book published!

And, this year, Book TV, is following a group of novelists on national television as they write away, competing against each other for a $5000 prize (only for those in the broadcast contest, sadly).

The deadline to enter is Friday, August 31st...as in, your registration must be postmarked on that day to enter the actual contest.

So, I pose the question again - not doing anything this Labor Day Weekend? Think about it! A typical 3 Day Novel is 90-150 pages. Can you survive it?
